Today was a great day for Lehigh Acres

Today was a great day for Lehigh Acres all five county commissioners agreed to hold a special emergency public meeting on April 4th at 5pm on the issue of a possible “freeze” moratorium to hold in abeyance any comprehensive plan changes, and rezones from non-residential to residential use until September 2007 when the Community Plan for Lehigh Acres is expected to be completed.

Also the commissioners agreed that is was time to make changes in the way duplex’s are put up in Lee County – This item was sent back to staff to review and come back in 6 to 8 weeks to a public hearing.

As the President of the Lehigh Acres Watchdog, Inc, I would like to thank the Chairwoman Tammy Hall for her willingness and true forthcoming approach into these issues that effect so many of the citizens in Lehigh Acres.

Sincerely,

Robert Anderson
